Answer: A significant fraction of the human body is water. Water plays a vital part in our body. According to the” Textbook of Medical Physiology, “the total amount of water in a man of average weight (70 kilograms) is approximately 40 liters, averaging 60 percent of his total body weight. In a newborn infant, this may be as high as 75 percent of the body weight, but it progressively decreases from birth to old age, most of the decrease occurring during the first 10 years of life. Also, obesity decreases the percentage of water in the body, sometimes to as low as 45 percent”. These figures are statistical averages, so are illustrative, and like all biostatistics, will vary with things like type of population, age and number of people sampled, and methodology. So there is not, and cannot be, a figure that is exactly the same for all people, for this or any other physiological measure In diseased states where body water is affected, the compartment or compartments that have changed can give clues to the nature of the problem. Body water is regulated by hormones, including anti-diuretic hormone.
Obviously there are water in the space. Water evaporate from the surface of the earth and condensed in sky as cloud. A huge part of ozone layer is made of water that protects harmful rays from the sun.
Water is stored in underground. All the water is not evaporated. The evaporated water falls on earth as rain. This rain goes in to earth and stored which we use pumping by tube Well.
An average person uses about 123 gallons (466 liters) of water daily. Some individual household activities and the amount of water they consume are listed below:
Shower 15-30 gallons (57-114 liters)
Brushing teeth (water running) 1-2 gallons (3.75-7.51 liters)
Shaving (water running) 10-15 gallons (38-57 liters)
Washing dishes by hand 20 gallons (75 liters)
Washing dishes in dishwasher 9-12 gallons (34-45 liters)
Flushing toilet 5-7 gallons (19-26 liters)
Drinking usage:
You've probably heard the "8 by 8" rule - drink eight 8-ounce glasses of water per day (2 quarts, 1.8 liters) - but the amount of water a person needs varies depending on his or her weight, activity level and climate. Another way to determine your specific recommended water intake is to divide your weight (in pounds) by two. The resulting number is the number of ounces of water you need each day. For example, if you weigh 150 lbs., strive to drink 75 ounces of water daily. For those who use the Metric system, divide your weight (in kilograms) by 30 (ex. somebody weighing 70 kg is going to need 2.3 liters per day). Keep in mind that these recommended intake numbers are controversial and some experts believe they are a gross exaggeration.
What do you mean by "Left"? Where does water go? I thought there was the same amount of water on Earth as there always was. Ok, maybe the ice sheets are melting and they turn into saline water, but, even if there are droughts, the water is somewhere else on earth. This is important. Because people actually believe that the resources of water are like the resources of petrol. Earth does not run out of fresh water as we believe.
NB: Sir, most of the answer is taken from our text book on Biology and internet.

A person uses daily ~20 litres, a week 200 litres, a month - 500 litres, year - 6000 litres.
Answer from wl3
Is there water in our body? If so explain why?
Yes, there is water in our body. 65% of a human's body is made up of water (50 to 60% for female and 60 to 65% for men.). We need water to keep us hydrated, so there has to be enough of it to meet our body's needs.
- • Is there water in space?
There is water on Mars, so yes. The on going question that most people ask is "If there's water on a planet, is it possible for life?" I think in far far outer space there could be the possibility of life.
- • Why sometimes do we find water underground?
We find groundwater by naturally groundwater discharged into springs, oasis and wetlands. Water also seeps into the ground, becoming groundwater.
- • How much does a person uses water everyday, every month, every year?
The Average person uses approximately 350L a day, 10 500L a month and 126 000 per year.
- • How much fresh water is left on earth?
3% of the worlds water is fresh water. The rest is dirty salt water.(97%)
Answer from wl4
Yes, there is water in our body. It is called in physiology body water and is a significant fraction of the human body. Arthur Guyton 's Textbook of Medical Physiology states that "the total amount of water in a man of average weight (70 kilograms) is approximately 40 litres, averaging 60 percent of his total body weight. In a newborn infant, this may be as high as 75 percent of the body weight, but it progressively decreases from birth to old age, most of the decrease occurring during the first 10 years of life.
But water exists not only in our body. Scientists have found water throughout the explored parts of the universe. The discovery of water in space opens many exciting possibilities for learning and to improve space travel.
Sometimes we can find water even underground. It comes from rain, snow, sleet, and hail that soaks into the ground. The water moves down into the ground because of gravity, passing between particles of soil, sand, gravel, or rock until it reaches a depth where the ground is filled, or saturated, with water.
There is no doubt that our life is impossible without water. That’s why every person uses it each single day. Usually it depends on a person themselves what amount of water they use. Scientists say that an average person uses about 123 gallons (466 liters) of water daily.
Less than 1% of all the water on earth is fresh water that we can actually use. We use this small amount of water for drinking, transportation, heating and cooling, industry, and many other purposes.

Water is life
Hello friends we would like to answer the questions, you posted
There is water in our body. We as people agree that water is in the body about 70% of our body are made up of water. Firstly because, as we become thirsty we take in water to quench our thirst. Secondly, almost all the foods we eat contain water. In addition, our body stores some of the water we take in to cool our bodies.
There is no water in space this along with the absence of oxygen is said to be one of the reasons why there is no life in space.
Ground water is simply the subsurface water that fully saturates pores or cracks in soils and rocks. Aquifers are replenished by the seepage of precipitation that falls on the land, although they can be artificially replenished by people, also. There are many geologic, meteorologic, topographic, and human factors that determine the extent and rate to which aquifers are refilled with water
Most of the water we get is gained from the ground. Although some of the water we get from the ground is polluted, it is purified through many methods which include boiling. I would like to take this opportunity to explain how underground water is derived.
To locate groundwater accurately and to determine the depth, quantity, and quality of the water, several techniques must be used, and a target area must be thoroughly tested and studied to identify hydrologic and geologic features important to the planning and management of the resource. The landscape may offer clues to the hydrologist about the occurrence of shallow groundwater. Conditions for large quantities of shallow groundwater are more favorable under valleys than under hills. In some regions--in parts of the arid Southwest, for example--the presence of "water-loving" plants, such as cottonwoods or willows, indicates groundwater at shallow to moderate depth. Areas where water is at the surface as springs, seeps, swamps, or lakes reflect the presence of groundwater, although not necessarily in large quantities or of usable quality.
.
Fresh water is water containing 1,000 milligrams per liter of dissolved solids most often salts. Scientists have confirmed that 2.5%of the earth’s water is fresh.

Is there water in our body? If so explian why?
Yes, there’s water in our bodies since water makes up more than two thirds of the weight of the human body, and without it, we would die in a few days. Your body is made up of mostly of water. The human brain is made up of 75% water; heart is 75%; blood is 83%; muscles are 75%; the kidneys are 83% and lungs 86% which clearly shows that yes, there is water in our bodies and not only is there water in our bodies but it is actual very important in our bodies and indeed, we need it inorder to keep our metabolism work properly. To the extent of my knowldge concerning water to our bodies, I know that water is clearly the most important nutrient and the most abundant substance in the human body as it comprises about three quarters of the human mass and is a major component in every cell as I stated ealier. Focusing on the question again, yes there is water in our bodies despite the fact that it provides a balance in the body (known as homeostasis). It also provides an absorption of the water-soluble substances, transportation of the nutritive to the target cells and the excretion of waste products of the metabolism of the body.
Is there water in space?
According to the scientists of NASA, yes, there is water in space.
The moon of Jupiter, Europa, is slightly smaller than our moon, and the top layer of this planet is covered with water. Ganymede, Jupiter’s largest moon has an icy crust.
Scientists in the NASA have done research and they say that there may be ice deposits on the pole of our moon because they have never seen sunlight, while the rest of the surface of the moon is very dry, drier than the earth’s deserts! The moon formed due to the collision of Mars and the Earth, however, not all the water was turned into vapour, and so there is water trapped in the soils and rocks of the moon which were brought back by the Apollo missions.
Saturn’s largest moon, Titan, is also said to have lakes at its surface.
Scientists have also discovered a huge reservoir of water that is about 12 billion light years away. It is called quasar and said to contain water that is 140 trillion times more than the earth’s ocean water. The quasar is around a black hole that is much larger than the sun of our solar system and produces energy of a thousand trillion suns!
Hopefully scientists’ research will help to discover amounts of water elsewhere that is large enough to support human life and make the population grow even bigger!
Why sometimes do we find water underground?
Groundwater occurs only close to the Earth's surface. There must be space between the rock particles for groundwater to occur, and the Earth's material becomes denser with more depth. Essentially, the weight of the rocks above condense the rocks below and squeeze out the open pore spaces deeper in the Earth. That is why groundwater can only be found within a few miles of the Earth's surface. Groundwater is an important part of the water cycle and it is the part of precipitation that seeps down through the soil until it reaches rock material that is saturated with water. Water in the ground is stored in the spaces between rock particles (but no, there are no underground rivers or lakes). Groundwater slowly moves underground, generally at a downward angle (because of gravity), and may eventually seep into streams, lakes, and oceans.
A couple of important factors are responsible for the existence of groundwater:
Gravity:- As a matter of fact, yes sometimes we find water underground and this is because gravity pulls water toward the center of the Earth. That means that water on the surface will try to seep into the ground below it where then we find water under the ground.
The rocks below our feet:- As we all know, the rock below the Earth's surface is the bedrock. Imagine if all bedrock consisted of a dense material like solid granite, then even gravity would have a hard time pulling water downward. But Earth's bedrock consists of many types of rock, such as sandstone, granite, and limestone. Bedrocks have varying amounts of void spaces in them where groundwater accumulates. Bedrock can also become broken and fractured, creating spaces that can fill with water. And some bedrock, such as limestone, are dissolved by water -- which results in large cavities that fill with water.

How much fresh water is left on earth?
Water is a resource not many of us try to save... Why? We say it is a resource that is renewable, because of the water cycle. The water cycle is the process by which water is distributed on the earth through evaporation and condensation.
70 percent of the earth is covered by water, and this includes the oceans. You may be thinking that this is a lot of water for human use, but ocean water is salty, and so cannot be directly used by humans and other animals and plants in form of drinking water and water to photosynthesize.
3 percent of our earth is covered with fresh water, and most of the fresh water we need is in polar regions, and in form of ice. This ice is melting, and it is an amount that can cover the whole of earth once melted. Even though, much of this water has been polluted by humans in streams, rivers and lakes which we rely on highly for consumption. The outflow of chemicals from industries and other factories have endangered not only the life of the water organisms and of course, the human race.
We also rely on rain, as it brings water. But this water is not safe to drink, as it is also polluted. Today, over a billion people worldwide do not have safe drinking water and sanitation. Countries like Egypt need water as they use irrigation to make their crops grow.
Humans have also built dams that will help him to produce re-newable energy, which is known as hydroelectricity.
After reading all this dear reader, be sure to reflect and change, because research says fresh water will run out even before oil runs out! Remember; reduce reuse recycle for water is life!

Hello!!!!
Like air, water is an essestial element of life . Water is about 65% of an adult weight , so, a 70kg person contains about 49 l of water, which 15% is concentrated in the skin.
The skin is a tank from which body take water. The water moves from the dermis to the surface diffusion imbuing the skin.
A NASA probe has found the beneath the ice covering Europe , one of Jupiter’s moon , is a huge body of groundwater. Liquid water is a necessary ingredient for all the forms of life we know. This finding suggests that the Earth is not the only place in our solar system where life exists.
Sometimes we find water underground because it has a complete round in nature. The rain which falls on the ground is absorbed by the Earth and forms the underground water.
Every day a person must drink at least 2 l of water. That means he must consume 14l a month and about 700 l a year.
All the best, Wl9
